Nick McChesney has joined PKF Littlejohn, the London member firm of PKF International.

McChesney, who is Chair of the ICAEW’s VAT and Duties sub-committee, is a respected indirect tax expert with more than 26 years’ experience.  Since leaving PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2009, where he was a VAT Partner, he has been an independent indirect tax consultant advising national and international clients in the not for profit, real estate, information technology, waste management and travel sectors. Since September 2013 he has worked with Rosetta Tax, a boutique tax law firm.

“The opportunity to work on varied and complex domestic and international VAT challenges across a range of industry sectors provided by PKF Littlejohn clients and the PKF International network is compelling”, commented McChesney.

Managing partner, Carmine Papa, said: “Over the past 18 months the firm has grown considerably, adding new practice areas such as forensic and counter-fraud services and an inward investment specialist team.  Our clients are increasingly international in their outlook and Nick’s appointment will strengthen the VAT and Customs team that provides essential support to these corporate and not-for -profit clients’ national and international business activities.   Nick’s appointment is another big step towards the firm’s target to grow its income and recruit high-performing people to help our clients succeed.

“VAT specialists with strong international experience will always be in great demand as trading with our international partners continues to grow.  I am delighted that Nick has agreed to join the firm.”
