EY’s National Tax Department has made two external hires in Raleigh and Los Angeles.
Peter DeVisser has joined the National Tax Department as a partner located in Raleigh, NC. He is a member of Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory Services (TARAS). DeVisser spent the last four years with BDO USA as the Carolinas Tax Managing Partner, leaving in Jan 2016. He’s also worked with Deloitte Tax and as the Director of Tax for The Pantry, Inc.
Peter has significant experience in advising both publicly traded and privately held companies across all of the major industries. ASC 740 (as well as examination of uncertain tax positions), federal/state tax audits, corporate restructuring and state income & franchise taxes. This includes significant experience from both a domestic and international perspective. He has also spoken at Seminars and National Trainings on the topics of accounting for income taxes, Subchapter C tax issues and M&A.
Chris Kearley joins the National Tax Department as an executive director of Global Compliance & Reporting located in Los Angeles.
Chris joins from Deloitte where he has worked for over 30 years, delivering tax consulting and compliance services for real estate focused companies and their owners.
