Peter Vaines leaves Squire Patton Boggs after almost 16 years to join Field Court Tax Chambers

Peter Vaines has resigned from the partnership at Squire Patton Boggs and joined Field Court Tax Chambers this month. Mr Vaines is qualified as an English barrister, a chartered accountant, a chartered tax adviser and chartered arbitrator.

Whilst at Squire Patton Boggs his work involved:

Advising multinational corporations, banks, financial institutions and private companies on the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and reorganizations, cross-border and transfer-pricing issues.

Advising high net worth individuals (and their advisors) on all aspects of UK taxation, trusts and related issues including residence and funding issues.

Advising family offices in the UK, Europe and Asia Pacific on tax and corporate structuring.

Providing tax and trust consultancy advice to accounting and law firms, banks and trust companies.

Advising on trust matters, share valuation for fiscal purposes, executive remuneration, planning share schemes and estate planning.

Acting as arbitrator in tax and financial disputes.

Acting as an expert witness in a commercial disputes.

Advising on tax investigations including the UK Disclosure Opportunities and the Liechenstein Disclosure Facility.
