GSK hires Gordon Randall as Global Head of VAT

 In GSK, KPMG

Gordon Randall has joined GSK this month as their Global Head of VAT. Gordon will be based from the Head Office at Brentford in the UK.

Gordon was formerly a director in KPMG’s UK indirect tax practice, he has over 16 years’ experience providing VAT advisory services to a broad range of international clients, across most sectors.

His role typically involved helping design strategies, policies and processes in order to manage risk and realise VAT savings and operational efficiencies. This included both absolute indirect savings (P&L) as well as cash-flow saving through detailed understanding of the Purchase to Pay and Order to Cash cycles and the impact indirect tax can have on working capital.

He was also part of KPMG’s tax efficient supply chain management (‘TESCM’) practice, a multi-disciplinary team consisting of tax and advisory specialists who focus on helping business consider business transformation projects in both a commercial and tax efficient manner.

Gordon left KPMG in March 2015 to enjoy a career break for 6 months, so he joins GSK fully refreshed ! Hat tip: BLT
